Thanks for all the recommendations, I have almost scratched by junk off at times, have had this issue for over two years !, doctors prescriptions were useless, sprayed cologne liberally for a one minute pain rush, some relief afterwards. Gonna give the garlic a try now. Soaking in the ocean provides some relief but short-lived. I am going to be 50 soon, hard to find a place to hide to scratch and not look like a old perv, lol.
Tinea cruris is similar to, but different from candidal intertrigo, which is an infection of the skin by Candida albicans. The latter is more specifically located between intertriginous folds of adjacent skin, which can be present in the groin or scrotum, and be indistinguishable from fungal infections caused by tinea. However, candidal infections tend to both appear and with treatment disappear more quickly.:309 It may also affect the scrotum.
Changes in your diet can make a big difference in healing and prevention of jock itch. Foods that are high in sugars and carbohydrates often encourage fungus growth. By reducing or eliminating your alcohol consumption, you may be able to keep jock itch problems from arising in the first place. (4)

Jock itch and most other common fungal infections are caused by a group of fungi called dermatophytes. These fungi are present in the environment around us at all times and are in fact present on your skin under normal circumstances as well. So as long as your skin remains clean and dry there is little to no chance of a jock itch rash or any other fungal infection setting in. Areas of the skin that remain moist and damp are naturally a lot more susceptible to infections as the fungi thrive in such environments.

Very, very similar to athlete’s foot which is a fungal infection on the foot, particularly between the toes, jock itch is a fungal infection at the groin. There are some similar predisposing factors and those ones generally are sweating and heat.
Jock itch typically starts off with a mild but almost constant itch in the groin. This itching gets progressively worse, becoming almost unbearable at times. Although jock itch rashes can affect the area around the groins like the inner thighs and buttocks it most frequently develops along the sides of the groins in the folds of flesh. The skin that is affected tends to take on a rough and bumpy appearance and becomes excessively dry. Lumps of pus may develop over the skin and may even ooze. From the groins the rash may even begin to spread out, working its way lower down the thighs or it could even spread to the genitals like the penis, scrotum, vagina, labia or the anus. In women it is also not uncommon for jock itch and yeast infections to develop simultaneously. In men there could be an onset of infections on the head of the penis.

I did so, but have since then had re-occurence like three or four times. Last night I felt this stupid itch again, and looked again, and yep, it’s back! One thing that I have been doing for the last 3 odd months, is to spray my feet every morning with Mycota foot spray to make sure that it doesn’t spread from my feet as I go to gym around 3-4 times a week. Also, I use Johnson & Johnson’s Antibacterial powder all over my “lies” (afrikaans) area to help keep it dry.

The use of the topical antifungal should be suspended for two weeks prior to seeing the physician.
You can take Grapeseed Oil or Fractionated Coconut Oil and make an infused oil with Dry or Fresh herbs to start with. I have chosen for the DIY blend I made for my customer Saint John’s Wort and Calendula. Any of the above Herbs as well can possibly be used. Their is directions online for making infused oils over several weeks to several months, or, you can do this the fast and quicker way placing the oil into a glass bowl with the herbs, then placing the bowl into a pan with water about HALF WAY up the sides of the bowl. Simmer the water, gently. Do this for about 3 hours. You can then strain the oil and use it as it is, or RE DO the process using the SAME oil, and adding NEW herbs to it to make a more concentrated Infused Oil. Let cool.
